Will this mailing list be direct, one way notifications instead of coming here or going to your Blog(s), Tweets, Myspace, telepathy projection for information
(to avoid redundancy) or more of a journal type newsletter?

It's a direct mailing as and when there's something new happening.
Not everyone checks in here etc on a regular basis and it's a way of getting first hand updates.

The forum seems increasingly redundant on many levels and more options is probably a good thing.
