Yes! I've heard that live mp3. Those guys are on Denovali, and so far just about everything they've put out is really damn good. They put out incredible vinyl releases. I grew sick of dubstep pretty quickly after diving into it. It is incredibly boring. The mainstream version of it has been jokingly called brostep, and I find that to be true. It's seemingly the new college kids' rave music. I picked this up not too long ago during record store day - a rerelease of The Upsetters classic Blackboard Jungle...really incredible reggae dub - http://www.discogs.com/Upsetters-Blackb ... se/3547601

mich wrote: man...i am as annoyed by the genre "dubstep" right now (since about 1 year) as i am amazed by tobins (still spreading the word) new project... dubstep has become mainstream-...that had to happen...but i still like stuff like burial... and i was REALLY amazed when i saw these guys live (no dubstep): http://soundcloud.com/esmogplayground/b ... 24-02-2012I too have found the recent "brostep" manifestation rather disappointing after having also spent about a year familiarizing myself with the genre. But hey, perhaps the ol' forum will help me on my quest for legitimate material. update: btw, good find - about half way through the track. just about exactly the kind of sound i'm looking for.

great! actually i did not really "find" it because they`re coming from my hometown saw them in concert last month- it was really great...and i like to spread the word when i discover good music...thomas also has another project called jean-michel >>> http://www.discogs.com/artist/Thomas+B%C3%BCckera really humble and nice person who deserves to be known more widely...he was also the one who introduced me to dubstep when it still was good (the burial-era...around 2007) peace!
