hey brian,
i'm looking to beef up my collection of 60's/70's reggae and you hint at having an extensive collection.
can you throw together a list of favorites?
personally, i love tubby, joe gibbs, augustus pablo, some lee perry but that's where i am running into stuff that's basically weak toasting and cartoonish fills...
recommendations for someone that is getting bogged down?
thx.

That's such a wide ranging question and I'm afraid I just don't have the time to write the easy the answer requires. And there are many styles and connections/influences that you may or may not wish to explore. Try Googling some reggae and dub sites and forums and see what people say. You can't go wrong with buying pretty much anything on Blood & ire btw, particularly the earlier releases.
