I think because of his views on nazism his work gets overlooked. Which is almost justified but he certainly was a great writer. His book Pan is also very good.

Artaud - Terminal Curses
Ballard - Atrocity Exhibition (again)
Baudrillard - Simulacra and simulation
Deleuze - Two Regimes of Madness
Kafka - Tagebücher
Curiosity and interest as a byproduct of stress and boredom.

In answer to the original post:
non-fiction:
I prefer the very down-to-earth stuff, so anything that has to do with the underworld:
* spying/intelligence, especially the cold war
* terrorism
* all aspects of organized crime
* weapon traffickers
* special forces
* biological/chemical warfare
* secret societies
* rock stars
* other weird things everybody suspect but nobody really know about
My favorite subject being the Hells Angels.
I prefer auto-biographies before all other types of literature.
fiction:
* european comic books
* fantasy

I don't read fiction at all .
I am interested in reading factual stuff .
medical journals, technical journals and current events news-items online .
maybe it's a.d.d., I dunno .

I never read fiction novels. Although I buy and read any and every book on space/astronomy I can find, and I also read a lot about the origins of man and ancient civilizations.

I'm currently reading Ron Jeremy - The (hardest) working man in showbiz. It's enjoyable, a bit jumpy so far, but not bad.

Quite an awesome book so far...just got it in the mail after preordering it two months ago. hopefully it doesn't become as rare as julian cope's book on krautrock did tho.

I hardly read anything besides stuff related to school, which is actually a shame. The last book I read has to be "Sult" (Hunger) by Knut Hamsun for a project some months ago. Even if I was incredible bitter that I had to go through en entire 200 - more or less - page novel in only a few days, stressful time, but looking back it was a very, very interesting read. I loved the schizophrenia of the main character and how he slowly descends into his Nietzsche-based personality.
