I recive a e-mail with a suspicious link to download,

please see if anybody still using your serve to host bad files without your approuve,
if you want a email copy please, send a email and I send to you a copy in a forward.

Interesting...
There were a few unauthorized files on the server, uploaded a couple of weeks ago, after I last changed the password.
I've removed the offending material, changed the password again and will keep an eye on it.

Looking into this more, it appears that it was caused by a file that was overlooked when the files associated with the previous forum were deleted (for just such a security problem, that meant changing to this version).
I's likely that this is the exploit : http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CAN-2003-0770
I've gone through the files on the server and have removed the files responsible and everything should now be fine.
