My beanie has been on the front lines all winter. It's very warm. :)

Got my copy in the mail today! I was also able to give it a quick listen by borrowing my mother's turntable.

Excellent remixes. Loved both of them. Great job guys.

It was a long wait...but I finally got my copy.

I really, really like the B-Side...If you don't mind me asking...how did you create that trumpetlike sound....analog or digital ?

I don't know which sound you're referring too, it's not analog but I can't be more specific without digging up the track and listening to it.

Wish I could hear it. Still, it's nice to have. My turntable has been ampless for about five years, now...yet I'm still collecting vinyl. Truly, the [ O T H E R ] 'series' has yielded some really compelling material and ideas of how to conceptualize one's work. I've been quite impressed watching it progress.

On a perhaps inappropriate note, I would really like to see an abandonment of the CD as the primary format and a heavy emphasis on FLAC (commercially, and sold, at that) and vinyl (for collectors/artists/the tangibly oriented) as a means of distribution. Perhaps a rethink of CD packaging, or maybe moving on to DVD's. I'm tired of tiny crowded squares. Anyway.

I really hope this never happens. :(
I'm a music collector, but I'm also a person who listens to music on-the-go. CDs make this possible; vinyls... not so much. Also, simply selling FLAC files without a physical medium is pretty lame for people like me who like to hold something and own something that can't get lost when a hard drive bites the dust. But I agree that a higher quality "CD" would be a nice change of direction.

B.
At any time in the future will there be a chance to purchase a legal download or will [ T R A N S M U T E D ] remain an exclusive (and nostalgic) vinyl only release?

Oh...
Ok then, I'll pose the question to them.

If they pass it back to you, what time do you want me to set the egg timer for?

That Alan Homes is obviously a very smart man.
Thanks for the link.

I was told a couple of weeks ago that it sold out btw, though I'm sure copies remain in the distribution chain.

...not smart enough to know that repeated use of the word 'dark' is compulsory in Lustmord reviews!
:)
