iReview: Breaking Bad

Now Playing: New Episodes: AMC (cable TV) in US and Canada. Season 1 and 2: on DVD and Bluray
Opinion: Very entertained.
Review: The premise of the story is of a middle-aged chemistry teacher (Mr. White) living a somewhat typical life until he is dealt a crippling blow; he's diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. With a family to care for, including a pregnant wife and a special need son, his low paying teaching job wont leave them with anything after he's gone. Desperate times create desperate people. Fearing that he'll leave them destitute, Mr. White embarks on a scheme to create financial comfort for his family... by any means.

Now entering its 3rd season (starting tomorrow March 21) Breaking Bad has taken some dramatic turns sucking Mr. White deeper and deeper into a richer and more elaborate story.

IMO Breaking Bad is one of the few worthy TV series worth watching.
Seriously, I don't regularly watch TV or TV series as I can't commit to them do to lack of time and patience for most of the crap they show on TV these days. This one was recommended to me and I'm glad I decided to watch it. Well worth staying up till 11:pm watching it to the end though I have a 4:am wake up time for work the next day.

Awesome cast all around; such colorful and interesting characters. The lead actor, Bryan Cranston, has come far from his years on "Malcolm in the Middle" and he delivers true top notch talent every episode. As well, the story is very intriguing and very entertaining. A veteran of "peculiar drama", Breaking Bad's creator/writer/producer Vince Gilligan has penned and produced such oddities as The X-files.

So looking forward to the new season.

Curious?: Currently showing the full episode of the Season 2 finale.
