Time for some more egotistical spam! Shazam!
The follow-up to my Starscape album, Primordial Resonance, is due for release now in mid-December on Cyclic Law. 6 tracks and over 40 minutes of ambient/industrial soundscapes - uniquely packaged in an elongated 6-panel foldout case in high quality glossy print.
It'll be the christmas present of the year! Buy a copy for yourself! Buy a copy for your spouse! Buy a copy for your grandmother!
Audio clips can be found on the Cyclic Law site as well as my Myspace site.

I'll be picking this one up. I loved Starscape, fantastic stuff. Funny, i am a few records short of owning the entire Cyclic Law discography... hehe, a new favorite label of mine.

I'm glad you asked! :p
I actually talked to B about it a while ago, since i do use Lustmord as well. It's a compilation, but one that i've spent literally years trying to perfect. The point wasn't to make a collection of songs, but rather something that could be considered a whole, one single flowing experience.
I noticed that most of my favorite music had one important element: change. All of my favorite songs started somewhere, and then went somewhere else. There was a "moment" in it with which it changed, and those moments were the most "emotional". So i decided, why not create those moments myself? so i went about doing that. Splicing, butchering, and ruining (hehe) all the music from my favorite artists to make it sound how i wanted as a cohesive whole, so that it sounds like each piece was MEANT to go into the next, like it was incomplete without doing so.
Anyway, i put the focus on minimalist and ambient music, stuff that REALLY affects a person if they manage to seclude themselves, turn off all the lights, and just dissapear into it. I didn't think it was worth doing with "normal" music. Another reason i did it is i've woken up to ambient before, and it gives this surreal feeling, difficult to describe. So i made this with music that, if you were to wake up to it, would produce really odd feelings.
Glad you asked? haha. This has been my pet project for a couple years now, i want it to be perfect. I actually finished it completely (so i think... hehehe) about a week ago. I can send it to you if you'd like to see what i did with Dead Transmissions.

Well that does sound interesting, must be quite a compilation. Nice choice of track too, out of the Starscape album I think Dead Transmissions suits it best and keeps in tone with the "sleepy" atmosphere.
Sure, I'd love to hear this PM me!
